As you may have noticed, I post a significant amount of intellectual property (IP) on the web and make it freely available for use and I suspect that individuals and organizations are benefitting from my work, which is exactly what I hope occurs. Although I prefer to make money through legitimate consulting and training services, the fact is that there's only one of me to go around. Many people tip waiters for bringing them a meal, so why shouldn't we also be tipping our computer methodologists for providing us with useful information?
